What Are Voids?
Voids are cavities or settlement gaps that can impact the structural stability of a slab. The effect of a lifetime of repeated impact on structures, or washouts from broken water or sewer pipes can wear down the subsurface of floors over time. Air pockets can be created that are undetectable from the surface.
How Do We Detect Voids?
We conduct void detection using GPR, a non invasive method to locate voids. The GPR system requires only a quick set-up and and real-time data can be collected within minutes.
